Only shortly after my promotion to the position of Project Leader at AstraZeneca I participated in the Project Management course on the 7th, 8th, 21st and 22nd of November 2005. In order to gain some more in-depth knowledge in my position the Project Management training seemed very interesting and applicable to me.
Very enthusiastic, yet also a bit nervous and very curious about what the training would be like and who to meet, I started my first day. My nervousness was immediately taken away because of the good atmosphere at the first day in the group. The trainer knew how to bring us on a very interactive manner the pinches of managing a project, with many practical examples out of his own experiences.
We were with approximately twelve participants of different pharmaceutical businesses, which made the training very appealing and interesting due to the fact that you are able to exchange experiences from each other's work (not too much of course). I have gained a lot of insight and experience from these four days!
What I especially remember from the training is the interaction during the training. The involvement and practical orientation was tremendous.
I also found the Personal Action Plan (PAP) very efficient: during the day we filled in our personal actions and at the end of every day we summarized the day and took time to complete the PAP. Regularly I look at the Plan to keep reminding myself what actions I set for myself during the training.
