Why did you join CRAcademy?
I Joined the CRAcademy after hearing about them during a course on ICH – GCP at university. I felt that the job as a CRA sounded like it fitted my lifestyle, job aspirations and personality. Because I had come fresh out of university and was very inexperienced if felt that DOCs and the CRAcademy could bridge the gap of experience I was missing and give me a viable change of becoming a CRA.
How would you describe your role now?
I am a CRA working in the indication area of Parkinson’s disease for a pharmaceutical company.
What do you like most about the job?
I like the way that no 2 days are the same, you never know what may arise the next day. You are not stuck in an office 9am -5pm, instead you get the chance to meet your investigators sites and take a hands-on approach to the job.
What other career options did you consider?
Pharmaceutical sales.
What was the most helpful for you from CRAcademy?
The chance to work almost as an apprentice, gaining experience in my placement whilst I was still learning the role of a CRA.
What was the most challenging about CRAcademy?
Learning and revising for the ICR exam while still fulfilling your duties.
