Competencies we look for
CRAcademy’s selection process and learning method is competency based.
We look for the inherent competencies of an individual and match them to specific jobs within the clinical research industry.
During the traineeships, we focus on developing these competencies to ensure the effectiveness and successfulness of our trainees.
CRA Competencies
Interpersonal competencies
- Communication: Communicates in a way that ensures that the essence of the message is understood by others (both verbally and written).
- Impact: Convinces, influences or impresses others, in alignment with formal and informal relationships, positions and interests of others, in order to get them to accept a position, recommendation or opinion.
- Independence: The ability to work alone, conscientiously and unsupervised. Taking responsibility for tasks. Coping with demands, changes and complications.
Managerial competencies
- Planning and organising: Determines goals effectively and give structure to the work to be performed aimed at efficient use of the available time, means and people, now and in the future.
- Problem solving: Recognises (potential) problems and obstacles, solves these alone or with others.
Professional competencies
- Accuracy: Works with care and punctuality, makes sure no mistakes are made, is precise and has eye for detail.
Commercial competencies
- Client focus & understanding: responds to clients’ questions and needs in a friendly and polite & friendly manner and keeps a keen eye on customer satisfaction.
