Eric Boersma
Dr. ir. Eric Boersma, was born in The Hague in 1966. He completed his Masters in applied Mathematics in 1990 at the Delft University of Technology.
In 1991, Eric became a Consultant Methodology and Statistics at the Department of Cardiology of the Erasmus MC, Rotterdam.
In 1998 he defended his thesis entitled Tailored reperfusion therapy in patients with evolving myocardial infarction. Models to guide clinical decision making at the Erasmus University, Rotterdam.
Eric completed his Masters in Clinical Epidemiology in 2001, and he was appointed Associate Professor of Clinical Cardiovascular Epidemiology in 2003.
Dr. Boersma has co-authored over 250 papers in international peer-reviewed scientific journals, and he has supervised 10 PhD students. His scientific fields of interest include cardiovascular risk modelling and acute coronary syndromes.
