Why did you join CRAcademy?
CRAcademy was a good opportunity to get practical experience of clinical trials. I had taken courses in Clinical Drug Development but finding a job without any practical experience is very hard, the lap between university and industry is too big. CRAcademy makes a bridge between the two.

How would you describe your role now?
I am working as a consultant for DOCS as a regulatory liason/CRA at an American pharmaceutical company. I am mainly working with regulatory submissions for clinical trials conducted within the Nordic region. In this way, I get an overview of all the studies conducted at the moment. However, I have just started monitoring a site for one study, which I find very challenging right now.

What do you like most about the job?
I like that the job tasks vary so much, the next day is not the same as any other day.

What other career options did you consider?
I have also considered working with pharmacovigilance or medical information since these are areas where I believe I can use my education in the most efficient way.

What was the most helpful for you from CRAcademy?
I would say the opportunity to get the practical experience from clinical trials have been the most helpful for me from CRAcademy. In addition to this, the support from an experienced supervisor during the first months of a new job role is very helpful. Without CRAcademy the first months in a new job role might not involve that much support and coaching.

What was the most challenging about CRAcademy?
The most challenging was to understand the complex way of conducting clinical studies, how all the strings are pulled together.
