Thorsten Gorbauch
After several years as a hospital physician, Dr.Thorsten Gorbauch has been working for the pharmaceutical industry for more than 15 years with a special focus on clinical operations and management.
He started in 1988 as a CRA at Albert-Roussel-Pharma Germany, held several positions in clinical research from project manager up to head of the department.
After changing to Hoechst AG, he gained experience in the pharmacovigilance department, was then allocated to build up a new department of clinical research within Hoechst-Marion-Roussel Germany.
After the merger with Rhone-Poulenc-Rorer, he became director of clinical operations at Aventis Pharma Germany. His group, managed as a profit-center, consists of the departments monitoring & study coordination, biometrics & data management, quality management, training and CRO-management, acting as a full-service unit for national and international phase II-IV studies including post-marketing-surveillance projects.
